Default For those who vote conservative.

A good read in today's Star, Sun. Jan. 26, page A17. I know , I know , the Star. It is an article written by Jaime Watt a conservative strategist and chairman of Navigator Ltd. Lots of good information there for any political party that wants to lead the country. Discuss. After you have read it....

... provide a link if you want anyone to read it... the Toronto Star is such a sh** rag and lies so much it isn't worth wasting time looking at. They used to send it to me for free and I still cancelled it.... a complete waste of paper.

So it can't be informative if it is in the Star, even if it is written by a conservative strategist? Most well informed people read things they do not necessarily agree with. I read the sun and post as well as the star every day just for that reason. To get perspective. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. The star has the biggest circulation of any Canadian daily newspaper , so someone must read it. How can you complain about what someone writes ...if you have not read it, and refuse to do so?

Do their circulation figures include the issues they send out for free? Each time I click on The Star website,it blocks all content unless I buya subscription and that ain't happenin' any time soon. So,my friend Google found his article and you're quite correct that it's a good read.

.... informative ....???.... maybe on the sales at the store. Why would I waste my time known for leftist fiction? If I wanted to watch lies I can watch CBC... looking at the recent numbers it's numbers are pathetic too. It's in the Star so it will be about climate or sexual orientation or some social spin... truth, budgets, coverups, violations of ethics and the law... not a leftie speaking point.

also it isn't the largest and is dropping like a stone.... down 22% and I heard they keep cutting... 100 jobs just before Christmas if

So you have a closed mind, and are not going to read something that has a different point of view, that is so sad and says a lot about you. Maybe others on here are a little more accepting of looking at a different point of view, from a card carrying conservative strategist, no less. A case of shoot the messenger, (Star), not the message I guess.. I defy anyone who takes the time to read the article to disagree with what he says... and his very astute observations, no matter where it was printed.

When the messenger is known to be biased and a .... spinner of fiction.... why waste time with it? If you can't post a link and I won't pay for be fed spin so....

But just to humour you I opened theStar up....

Sad.... Kobe Bryant died, Coronavirus... that's anywhere....
Tried opening a couple articles, all pay to read and then there's the "spin" on right-wing extremism .... probably as usual ignoring bigger issues like ANTIFA, our PM's sentiments, etc.
    https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/...ents-show.html
But they did atleast show one of the biggest extremist out there on the left.

    Just a reminder... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8igrMJ9L4po

What else.. Khardasians , the usual political kiss a** on firearms.. Ban Assault rifles AND handguns... pay to read .... about like paying for used toilet paper likely based on past material I did read.
    https://www.thestar.com/opinion/edit...e-problem.html

The idea of an open mind is to allow in facts AND filter and use them in items of truth and relevance..... Toronto Star .... seldom fits and in general isn't worth the time since it is irrelevant in a moral and intellectual discussion.

So if you can't bother providing a FREE link, it isn't worth the effort and since it is the Star... well the b.s. about climate change, gender identity and Justlied's beard... yawn! Looking at the headlines I see nothing that is probably not better covered and with real facts in other media outlets without paying. If you want to read it feel free... I won't pay to read their articles and have them ignore/not disclose the facts and tell me what to think.. especially since they now seem to be requiring paying, well the Toronto Star isn't worth reading when I got it for free..... I defy you to provide a link or past the idiotic article here and prove it isn't just more political b.s. spin we have come to loath from the Red Star... https://img.favpng.com/1/24/1/soviet...G5Sj2A9Mpb.jpg

I think the fact the Star has the largest circulation is a reflection of the size of the Toronto/Ontario market, not necessarily the quality of the product. The fact it’s readership is tanking has nothing to do with the size of the market.

Mosquito.....in the time you spent authoring the exhaustive posts above, you could have found and read the short article.

Not an awful read, but generally speaking I’m sick of hearing “LGBTQ” and believe me I’m not homophobic - my sister is a lesbian and our family welcomes her and her partner without question. It just sucks up too much attention in the media.
