Better stock up on ammo
Use the tracking app and find some property to hunt where they have been spotted.
I have some family close to the area I may inform them to for some tasty bacon lol.

I have far amount of property and 3 buddy that have property in the county
Myself I have property that I’ve never been on ravine / gully not man friendly figured I’d have beaver before wild hogs
When looking at tracks
Thinking better study them a little closer
Have noticed couple dug spot in hay field just thinking coyotes or fox have been digging at mouse or mole rabbit holes
I know of 1000ths of acres of bush that sees little human traffic that kinda scary if hogs are smart enough to hide out there till corn crop/soy crop is knee high
I could have twelve guns here with one txt within a hour with just a mention bacon
I’ve moved away from trail cams maybe should set couple up

Didn't want anyone getting excited, and just grabbing to 30 cal deer rifle.
You can kill them with a 22 rim fire but it's got to be good shot placement.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

For hunting small game, these are not small game, I would think that you could use anything for exterminating vermin not listed, unless there is a caliber restriction as a bylaw.
I would not be using a 22LR, shot one in a game farm this winter, 12ga Challanger slug in the neck at 15 yards, did not exit, I would go with a 12ga slug if you could not use a centerfire with a tough bullet (270 Win would be fine :P ), ha ha ha.
The vitals are not as far back as on a deer, shoot for the shoulder, not behind it or you may get into the gut quick. Oh, and there is not a lot of belly meat, good chops but not a lot for bacon

According to friends that hunt hogs in the US on a seasonal basis, they say .270Win 150gr SP does a fine job on hogs. In fact,.223
and .243Win varmint/predator loads work well,too. They're not hard to kill. Doesn't Elgin County have a .243 by-law?

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

i'm always curious about the restriction on the farmer's right to defend property. say my neighbour who doesnt hunt, he's allowed to shoot nuisance coyotes. no one will bat an eye or ask what kind of rifle he used. not advocating for being the mushroom eater when yogi bear writes a citation... just thinking out loud...
