Ticks Are Still Out!
Went for a walk yesterday in a couple of Norfolk County woodlots and on the drive home I had 6 or 7 "friends" making their way up my pantlegs. TC

Early Feb and the ticks are still at it. Crazy.

For that very reason I've been keeping my dogs on Bravecto year round....

We pulled one off one of our dogs a couple of weeks ago in SW Middlesex. My wife read as long as it's above 4 degrees or something like that they can still be active.

This is getting crazy. There must be a way to control the ticks advance. I think more needs to be done to stop them from spreading at the rate they are.
Lyme disease is a scary outcome that no one wants.

Two of the best solutions, .Permethrin and Bifenthrin are commonly used to kill deer ticks, but are pesticides that are banned in Canada but are both sold openly in the US.
Best you can do here is drop into TSC and in the horse care area, pick up some Ultra Shield. You can spray it on your cloths, boots etc and if you accept the approval by U.S. veterinarians, you can spray it on your dogs.

That sucks! No pun intended.
Make sure you check in the inside of your pants as well. I had one crawl on the inside and attach to my leg - was a nightmare but luckily negative for Lyme disease. Also, check your vehicle and gear as some of the "friends" may be waiting for you there! Hate those critters!
