For arguments sake,let's imagine that everything in your post comes to fruition. The only way to compensate for the destruction of conservation funding is a general income tax increase of around 8%. Can you just hear the whining,yelling and screaming from the anti gunners/hunters,then? We should mention that in our campaign. Do you think that would get their attention?

It would only worry the middle class. Since the Elite and Political leaders don't listen to the middle class, I am not sure how effective it would be.

I see that DU has provided an explanation as to why they are staying silent....

Appears they are more worried about their tax-free charitable designation with the CRA than keeping guns in the hands of their members.

In addition, Canada Revenue Agency guidelines stipulate that DUC can only engage in political activities that further our charitable purpose of wetland conservation.

There is not a single gun as shown in the DU calendar that would be banned in New Zealand. Some of the models are mentioned but are banned ONLY if they have magazine capacities over 5.

To say that every shotgun pictured in the calendar will be banned here based on New Zealand is complete crap.
