So accessories most of which are commonly available and simple add ones make a gun scary?

Clearly you have fully bought into the liberal media brainwashing

Same firearms, so they will need to ban all 870's and 500's as they can become scary combat shotguns overnight, is that what your saying?

fishfood You loose no sleep over it is that because??

REPLY. You live by the sword and you die by the sword, here are alternate career choices in Canada other than being a drug dealer.I can give some break to the first immigrants who faced discrimination on the job front and fell into the life of dealing. But today,s gang bangers and career criminals have made a conscious choice to pick up the gun.

Remember for every gang member that is killed many are recruited. For every position that member had only goes to the next in line the cycle never ends.

Reply. That is not a problem I loose sleep over.I have many black friends who are hard working and law abiding and they feel the same way.

It's all fun and games until an innocent person is killed .

REPLY. I have stated the same thing many times on this forum and its when we get a Jane Creba shooting OR a DANFORTH SHOOTING that the Canadian public gets galvanized and guess what a party runs on public sentiment .Prime Minister Harper running against the long gun registry to protect Duck Hunters and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau trying to protect all Canadians from gun violence.

And when you dont care about them shooting each other up you also dont care about the problem..

REPLY. I did not say that.

Know wonder they never found biggys or Tupac's killers. The cops could care less as it is just that 2 black bangers . Or were the cops in it
    aswell o well.

REPLY. The cops in America do care but you cannot prosecute a criminal case without witnesses. There are thousands of unsolved homicides in America of black people the fact that these guys had a higher profile means nothing if you have no witnesses. Many of the big urban police services give it the 48 hours and if no case come together they have to move onto the next shooting.

No, not necessary, just charge those owners found to have altered the firearm to make it illegal.

Gilroy if gangsters killing each other is not a problem why is it continuously being picked up by the media and being shown on the news? How many people have been killed just in Toronto from illegal guns since the danforth shooting, to say all those deaths are not a problem worth loosing sleep over speaks volumes about your character

So if I put a picatinny base and a shorter than 28inch barrel it becomes a combat shotgun? Get off the sauce man...

Sure its a problem but not for me to loose sleep about.I policed in Regent Park for 15 years,I personally know scores of now dead gang bangers and violent criminals.I do not think most people in Canada care if career criminals kill each other over drug turf. But they do care if one of their own gets killed like law abiding citizen like Jane Creba. I guess you need to ask the media why they cover each and every shooting because I think the average Canadian just shrug their shoulders. In the meantime Minister Blair continues to attack the problem.

This is what DU's stance on gun issues has always been. I fail to see how this public shaming of DU advances our interests. The anti-gun crowd is laughing at us for the divisions being sewn. No, I'm not a DU member.

I don,t think the anti-gun crowd have sewn any divisions. This thread like many other posted by MikePal simply backfired on him as he comes on this forum and tries to sew division.I think he believes we are going to fall for the old Bush trick "your either with us or against us".
Gun owners and hunters are a little to sophisticated to be roped in by this.
I wish I had a dollar for every time Stephen Harper stated he was standing up for the rights of duck hunters.Maybe he believed he had them brain washed and they would follow like sheep. Some folks on this forum should take note...

Gilroy the gangster gun problem is the only gun problem in this country. Bill Blair continues to attack lawful gun owners
