DU not supporting Gun owners

I fail to see how this public shaming of DU advances our interests. The anti-gun crowd is laughing at us for the divisions being sewn.

Understanding of course you mean public, as in public hunting forums and hunting related social media sites. (The general public..ie main stream media, have no interest in this story).

As such, it is important for hunters to see where loyalties lies when push comes to shove. This OIC by the Liberals, could (because we haven't seen the full order) impact far deeper that some are suggesting. In order to submit a petition to Government to force the debate, will require unanimous support by ALL hunters and Hunting associations. We're are a small voting block, so we need to be united to be heard.

To avoid taking a stance becasue it MAY affect your charitable TAX status shows little backbone.

I don,t think the anti-gun crowd have sewn any divisions.This thread like many other posted by MikePal simply backfired on him as he comes on this forum and tries to sew division.I think he believes we are going to fall for the old Bush trick "your either with us or against us".
Gun owners and hunters are a little to sophisticated to be roped in by this.
I wish I had a dollar for every time Stephen Harper stated he was standing up for the rights of duck hunters.Maybe he believed he had them brain washed and they would follow like sheep.Some folks on this forum should take note...

The electorate in the last general election voted for further gun control. The gun lobby before the election believed they could defeat the Liberals using their supporters and doubled down "see you at election time".

Well they saw us at election time and we have the result. The gun lobby failed because 75% on Canadians want a ban on assault type rifles.

The facts are the configurations of a Remington 870 and a Mossberg 500 are quite different for anti-personnel applications than for hunting: Shorter barrels, detachable magazines, breaching chokes, side saddles, extended magazines, picatinny rails, lights, lasers, night sights, folding stocks, pistol grip only stocks, bayonet lugs, speed safeties and other "tactical" accoutrement not commonly found among hunting firearms.

I guess you've not seen my 870..
Pistol grip, telescoping stock, ammo holders on stock, some other toys...

Still the same firearm, only things different is some of the "Furniture ".
Name one item that I can not have on my 870.

I do not think most people in Canada care if career criminals kill each other over drug turf.But they do care if one of their own gets killed like law abiding citizen like Jane Creba.

But a shooting is a shooting does not matter who you are, it affects many around them. . Does not matter if your a banger a cop or an innocent bystander in the end it's just another shooting. They are all the same they are humans.
