Default Railway shutdown - Letter to PM

    Office of the Prime Minister
    80 Wellington Street
    Ottawa, ON K1A 0A2

    Dear Prime Minister Trudeau,

I do not envy your job and the diverse and often competing priorities you must face on a daily basis. But as the Canada-wide shutdown of rail services drags on, it is time for you to step up and get serious about your domestic responsibilities.

No one is asking you to intervene in police operational matters. For you to publicly imply so is a cop-out and an abdication of your leadership role. No one is asking you to deny anyone’s right to protest. But when such protests endanger public safety and our national economy, action is required to ensure that the rule of law is maintained for all Canadians.

Mr. Trudeau, the current situation is one of your own making. Years of eloquently spoken but ultimately empty moral platitudes have done nothing but raise unrealistic expectations in your efforts to please everyone. You now find yourself in a perfect storm where everyone (First Nations, environmentalists, industry and regular working Canadians) are simultaneously demanding that you follow through on your promises to them. However, you are currently abroad attending lavish functions and rubbing elbows with dictators in pursuit of an expensive shiny prize that no one outside of the political chattering classes cares about.

Mr. Trudeau, it is time to get up from the edge of your luxury hotel-suite bed, get your head out of your hands and get back to Canada to do your job.

    Sincerely,
    ##### #######

Hope you put extra postage on the letter because it's going to have to chase him from Africa to Europe and wherever else he is on perpetual holiday.

If this nonsense continues much longer, I predict it's going to get violent. If that's what it takes, then so be it. The authorities are going to have to do something soon!

The feds will tiptoe their way around it without making any actual decisions. Don't kid yourself, Trudeau would be happy with a swift, violent outcome so he can point his finger elsewhere, say he had nothing to do with it and blame someone else.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Mulroney did not step in while the natives held the rail line hostage, for 78 days. 78 days!!! Can't you see the similarities?

What does Mulroney have to do with any of this? Might as well bring up Custers last stand too.

Some people were talking about the in-action of Trudeau, I was pointing out there is precedent, that was set by a previous P. M.( Mulroney). Would you rather an Ipperwash intervention? Like when then Ontario Premier Mike Harris said, 'I want the ----ing Indians out of the park'..? The next day Dudley George was shot dead by an OPP officer. RIP.
