Fishing Lake Albanel

My friends and I were lucky to be taken on fishing trips a few times from NJ to Lake Borbeau (not sure of spelling) in the Chibougamau area. There was gold mining samples next to the lake, and then up the dirt road 125 miles or so to Lake Albanel. Caught walleye, pike and lake trout. I went in 1971 and 1972, at ages 15 and 16. We now wonder if it's still as pristine as it was and if the fishing is still incredible. The road used to end at Albanel. Was it ever extended? Would enjoy another fishing trip to Albanel.
