Lake St. Clair
Hey Everyone,
First off hope everyone had a decent winter/ice fishing even though the ice came pretty late, some areas not at all. I'm looking to gather some information for fishing Lake St. Clair, lighthouse Cover/Mitchell Bay area. I've been fishing Lake Erie a lot lately, if you don't know the walleye fishing is incredible and non-stop as soon as the ice clears. I'd like to get into more bass/crappie fishing and was wondering if that area holds crappie? I'm well aware that the lake is notoriously known for its Bass/Muskie fishing... not really interested in Muskie and I'm not sure why lol.
I'd really like to find somewhere not too far (I'm from Kingsville) that I can travel to and do a day of fishing; Crappie, smallies, large mouth, sunnies etc.
*ALSO does anyone fish the thames river from boat? I just use a 14' Deep hull and it does well on Lake Erie unless its a good strong chop... really looking forward to this years season, fairly new to the fishing world.
Thanks in advance..
