Thanks everyone, I'm at work again, Farmers son found one coyote this morning while out looking for calves. Said he seen another one walking around.
I wish I could have hunt like this in January when pelts are prime. None of these are worth anything. Just rubbed real bad around the neck and mid back

Another one tonight. Same field. Just sat down at 7pm and was watching the cattle for new calves and this guy appears out of nowhere at 225 yards. Thought I better shoot then as wasnt sure if he seen me already as i wasnt being very still lol.
As I'm taking these pics I can hear 3-5 more howling to each other on two sides of me. Sat another 30min but can hardly see with no snow

Has too much time on their hands
Good stuff! Putting the hurt on them! I came home last night just after our small St Patrick's Day celebration, and there was one standing in my driveway. I live about 400 yards from the Peterborough hospital.

Excellent shooting and results.
Raising sheep has a similar problem, they're not smart enough to head to the barn/shelter to give birth. A lot of lambs are born out in the yard. If there is snow/ice down, the lambs are warm at birth and melt into the ground. Then freeze in and can't get up to follow Mom. Then they bawl and attract the votes.
I've shot a few when they have come in, but from the sound of it, we don't have anywhere the numbers of yotes you have in the s/w of the province.
Keep up the good work, as a farmer I know it's greatly apprecited.
