Only if it hits a million deaths in Canada.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Just living and eating out of my truck. That's a pretty normal routine. Only interact with people at shipper/recieving, or fuel stops.

Will have to get groceries in the next couple days.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

    Cool

Not because of real shortages (there are panic shortages, which seem to be hurting those most vulnerable) but remember to prep because you don't want to go out ... planning and thinking are what is required for now and hopefully like H1N1 etc. we will return to stability quickly.... a vaccine is atleast a year out likely but "das ist leben" .... people put their faith in place and go on. Some still have faith in a guy that thinks budgets balance themselves and dictatorships are to be admired.... other in themselves etc.

Of course think toward what if... but .... well so many are not thinking ... and this shouldn't be a catastrophe for your only prepping..

Now over the next couple weeks, metro is taking orders 10 days from now
    https://www.metro.ca/en/online-groce...its-vegetables

LCBO is pickup at store or at post office.
    https://www.lcbo.com/content/lcbo/en...-response.html

Fortinos requires an ID to pick a slot.... probably several days of more ahead as a GUESS
    https://delivery.fortinos.ca/?utm_so...=web-referral#

If you have potatoes or rice etc. UberEats and DoorDash are doing no contact deliveries.... what we have done when busy is pick a few dishes (including from Mandarin), cook up the rice or what ever and you can spread out a delivery over 3 or 4 meals.... a nice break if that works for you.

Grocery Gateway and others in Brampton... outside the GTA it will get hard, maybe you can be the delivery for those that can't, maybe pick up for an older neighbour or relative and arrange to drop at their door so they can stay in.

Did a trial food pick up in grocery parking lot. Went well. But only had 50% of what I ordered. Got enough for two months. Filled gas cans.

It won’t take much more trouble.
If society brakes down. No one will be prepared.

Not unless you have enough supplies to outlast the rest and a safe place to hide... so 99.9999% essentially are not prepared for the 1 in a billion absolute worst.

Remember at gas stations everyone uses the handles.... and to do a bit of fear mongering .... maybe on the way to the hospital. Wash hands and maybe have a sanitizer in the car!

    P.S.
Don't forget medications and pet foods.... I renewed my meds the other day over a "phone appointment", I never set foot in the office and they faxes it to the drug store I go to.

We have an order to pick up between 5 and 6 pm today. Got a small order of groceries there was no spots available yesterday . We will try out this service see how it is. Apparently they load it directly into your trunk [emoji106]

Also we had a box of goods dropped off at the post office that was ordered when the panic shoppers hoarded the stores last weekend. We know them well at at the post office and received a text the other day and said they had a heavy box for us lol. We always at the post office anyway.

So many ways to distant yourself from others.

I did very little to prepare because I always have a good supply of essentials on hand, food in the freezer, canned goods in the pantry. I did have to make a quick trip to the liquor store though.

My continuing preparations are to ignore most of the media reports and particularly the on-line hysterics predicting half a billion deaths in the coming year, that we are at Armageddon, economic collapse will happen and other carriers of the disease otherwise known as panic.

Maybe that's why there's shortage of toilet paper. Too many morons constantly sh-tting themselves.

If we cant get control of this and they cant discover a vaccine its bad news. Without control or vaccine if this spreads like the flu every year like its it's doing, most people wont make it to 80 and if you do, you won't make it to 85, according the death rate by age...
