Brandishng a gun - LOL.......I was carrying a gun. My buddy was 100ys away down the path and could see everything (he had a gun as well). The last thing the drunk guy wants to do is call the cops........trespassing, drinking and driving, driving a quad without a helmet, driving a quad without a plate??

To be honest, with everything closing, you may want to rent out your place (quietly) I for one would pay to have a quiet getaway for a weekend.

I wonder why the MNR chose this route rather than just Postponing hunting and fishing for this spring. In the long run it may have lead to less hassles for them and ethical hunters. The amount of bickering between anglers that are staying at home and those who still chose to drive across the province for fishing is unbelievable on some boards. April 25th should be interesting!

The closures thus far have had nothing to do with the MNRF. It’s all been Conservation Autorities, municipalities, etc. closing public hunting areas and boat launches.
No point in cancelling hunting seasons (eg. turkeys) that in the vast majority take place solo and on private property.

Why do we need to close seasons? What is wrong with people getting out of town to fish or hunt? Buy gas where you live and drive straight to your fishing spot, maintain a gap and drive straight home.
The GRCA closing their conservation areas is a huge mistake. We're going to have guys lined up side by side at other access points on the opener.
These closures are ignorant and the government has basically told everyone that they're irresponsible children who can't play safe. When you don't get your message regarding masks, physical distancing, etc. correct from the get-go, some people are going to be irresponsible. Personally, I'm shocked that the premier has decided to lock down the province until May 15th.

These closures will continue until people smarten up. When I go out to get something essential and see an influx of cottagers in our area buying up all the goods in the stores and in the same trip seeing groups of grey hairs standing less than an arms length away chatting. Guys piled onto the local dock to fish. It’s the selfish and stupid ruining it for the rest of us. I’m in a low risk group for this thing but I’m still doing my part by staying home to protect the vulnerable where I can.
As I individuals, we can be great. As a group, people suck.

I had said this in another thread but in essence a lot of hunting and fishing has been closed already.
Any property including conservation authority's, county forests, boat launches, municipal piers are closed or anywhere else under control of cities/towns which in fact does mean No hunting or fishing for a number of people.
Not much they can do on Private Property. Easy to practice the distancing thing when you're by yourself.

The closures have been made by the province, not any of the above mentioned. Its out of everyones hands but the province, and the feds.
