Moose tag quota is out
Another disappointing year by the looks of it in 48 for the gun hunt.
I think its been 17 years for the Calf draw in our area and the tag numbers have dropped every year since they implemented it in our area yet the population is climbing.
Im sure next year things will be better lol!

I just made another $50 dollar donation. It's all good. I feel like my chances of drawing a tag are good this year because I have the Newfoundland hunt booked for the last week of September lol. I did however put in for a gun tag this year instead of bow because I want to be able to hunt if I hit the 3% lottery in WMU 38.

Looks like it will be a good afternoon to get the application off.
Best of luck to all applicants, after I get my tag, of course[emoji6].

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

WMU50 only has 19 adult tags issued,a 70% reduction from last year. I'm not sure what our crew wants to do,but,I'm sure some will still go with Bear tags and bring shotguns for birds. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year. We had no tags last year and still had a blast.

Holy snap. WMU 47 went from 1 bull tag last year and no cows/calfs and no archery to 21 bulls, 26 cows, 53 calfs plus 3 bulls archery and 7 cows archery. That's an 11000% increase.

We drew and filled a cow tag in 49 last year.
Very curious to see what the stats are going to be for number of applicants for the archery hunt in 49.

You could hunt calves in 47 without a draw last year.

Question - If I apply in 49 for the new archery hunt, but do not fill my tag, it is still valid for a calf in the gun hunt later on, correct?

Moose, bear and deer open all at same time in 49 for bow hunt. I'm betting the amount of applicants will be outrageous.
