The number in critical just keeps edging up and that is the number that will tell the future in the deaths.

I keep looking at Taiwan's numbers and wondering where ours would had they acted in January, I wonder what it would be IF they had put in airport screening, IF they had put in travel restrictions, IF they had not sent masks and equipment to China, if they asked people to wear masks and not put out such nonsense, and put in quarantines.... I also with they actually bought the equipment they said they would a month ago....

Interesting how Canada and a lab in China ... in Wuhan kept showing up on the bio-terrorism threads.... in August of last year.

The article about Canada sending stuff to China is a mere -how am i going to fill my quota as a newspaper columnist. If i have a say...

    Reasoning:
Canada has(we have)proper agencies (secret service lets say)to be able to deal with shady things. If the article is true-then we don not have good use of them(which i do not believe,i think they do a good job)
China would not need to buy stuff from us,but would buy stuff from less "straightforward countries"if they would to do shady things. They are big enough to be able to do that.

Back to the thermometer-while there is a very little talk about Sweden(and i am not particularly fond of that country)they have ZERO quarantine, zero STOP,zero anything , to flatten the peak(what we and many other countries do).
Lets see where they are at with sick per million?Somewhere in the middle of the pack.............
Denmark is almost as open as Sweden ,and they are almost at the same numbers, sick per million.

I am not saying nothing ,and not fighting anyone.Slowly our society goes away from independent and critical thinking.Absolutely NO OFFENCE Mosquito,it is not about You.We just need to look around, and unfortunately ,and especially ,the newer generations are conditioned not to think, just listen and echo................Worldwide.

Yep, I see that all the time on the media, the Liberal's make an announcement and then seem to write the news story for the reporters too anymore.

We used to rent in Corpus Cristi, Tx during the month of Feb. Then the complex tied in with VRBO, AirBB or the likes and rents went up about $1300 U.S. more a month and consequently we had to look elsewhere. Sorry, but it won't bother me to see these businesses getting it up the old wazoo.

That's a big complex in the US, the link has absolutely nothing to do with Ontario cottages from the link.
Most Ontario cottages are private owned and rented out to subsidize repairs or extra income.
    https://www.rentcottage.com/
Ours for example was planned to rent out a couple weeks to subsidize repairs to the kitchen and bathroom in the spring, all cancelled. Last year it was the new water system and tree topping and cutting, next year was supposed to be electrical not fixed by this years. Another loss of income for people and people's enjoyment ruined.

Mossy, VRBO is here as well and have been for a few years now. They're like the proverbial camel, one foot in the door and before long will corner the entire cottage rental market. Guaranteed, you'll see rental rates skyrocket. They'll offer you your going rate while handling all the advertising of your property then mark up that rate for their take.

So, your point being? To me it looks like "I want to be cheap and am angry others will pay the owner market value" .... I won't use Airbnb due to their support of the lying anti-firearm doctors but like Rentcottage, VRBO, Drop the key etc. they make money making it easier, offer services to owners and renters so the owner has less work to do and rents it out more. Staff to clean it or driving hours and doing it yourself... it is in investment and there is a certain demand... your statements seem lacking.
Stay home or find a hotel if you want to be cheap, if you think it will save you money. We rented from Rentcottage about 15+ years ago and started using them a few years back to pay for repairs and upgrades. The door on the 2nd floor would be nailed shut and no 2nd floor deck and the water filter may not have been added due to the costs. Rentcottage's new owners have had it for over 8, VRBO has been round atleast 20 years, people will rent it for what they find fair. The rental is also income and part of the taxes, then there are the property taxes, utilities, repairs, someone to clean and check it if you have too far to drive... I am sure there will continue to be cheap run down places you can find on Kijiji etc if you worry more about the price than the condition of the property/location/condition etc.

And I'm sure this income is reported on your income taxes?

Yep. Just checked the number off the filing, Form T776 (Statement of Real Estate Rentals), shared between myself and my wife, expenses like repairs, taxes and utilities documented too. Negative income but all nicely recorded and filed. The companies like Rentcottage record it and file taxes too... only the cheap Kijiji cash only cottages hide their income.

My point being what I used to pay $1500 for a months rent now costs me $2500 for the same property. Why shouldn't I be ticked off?
