O Nut.... Do you want people to put down their dogs, so that they don't have to walk them. Straw man argument, and a pretty weak one at that.

    NEWS RELEASE
    ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
    ************************
The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind boaters that all non-essential travel is being discouraged by the Ontario Ministry of Health at this time, including travel by water.

Though the air temperature is rising, local waters are still icy cold. Survival time is greatly diminished for someone immersed in cold water, but if you must be on the water, here are a few tips for cold water safety:

    https://www.midlandtoday.ca/local-ne...ts-opp-2243883
Its typical for the opp to do news releases every spring regarding boat safety, usually high lighting added hazards or issues per-tenant to that spring ie. in recent times it was high water levels.

Yes your strawman argument is weak, not to mention weird and strange.

How you go from people walking dogs to thinking Oaknut is saying to kill their dogs, is beyond reason.

And just where did I say anything about people walking their dogs being a bad thing? It's a simple comparison based on distance from other people. You say my argument is weak however your weak character shows by slinging such an ignorant thought under the guise of a question.

Its pretty simple to get out on the water, walk your dog, chase a turkey or whatever turns your crank and be smart about it. My friend, I think you could use some fresh air rather than making fleeting attempts to change the appearance of a post that you clearly had no argument for.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

My wife's entire family loves falling out of their boats for the same reason. I gladly sit on the back of the boat keeping my buoys out of the frigid temperature 20' down. I will gladly scale a 100' pine and take it down piece by piece or hang off the side of a quarry wall but I can't get myself to want to go to the murky depths.

This thread was about boaters , not fishing. I went fishing yesterday. I live within 500 yards , to the mouth of a well known trib. entering Lake O. and the ' creek', goes behind our house, 30 yards from my back yard .If not for the trees I could cast to it from my back deck. Enjoy your life, I am , mine.

I know you heard it before but can't resist:

Why do scuba divers fall backwards off the boat?

Because if they fell forward they'd still be in the boat!!!

I use to free dive, around a hundred feet was my limit and five minutes on one breath. MORE then enough to catch lobsters and fish. Then there was all the fishing lures people would lose. Never bought much tackle for years. One tractor crash and hemorrhage in lungs put an end to that. Now I am lucky to go 45 seconds in four feet of water.

And He is gone. You know he is like playing chess with a pigeon.

You know all the pigeon is going to do is knock the pieces over, crap on the board and strut around like it won.
