In the case where they have closed the park, even if your in it by yourself, you're in violation of the Act.

I think that was the case of the guy who got an $880 fine for walking his dog.

Hasn't the city of Toronto and some surrounding areas make it law to ticket anyone not social distancing ? Hiring extra bylaw officers and such telling the police to ticket anyone not social distancing?

Mnr should be able to make a social distancing ticket if the rules are not being followed on the rivers .

Have a walk with one of your buddies in Oakville as a test ... see what happens. You're going to call BS without even researching it? Shaking my head right now ... and you talk about misinformation ...

Here it is ... for the ultra lazy keyboard warriors ... lol. Can't even google it yourself before you run the mouth off and mislead people.

Ignore rick_iles, he is a person who doesn't bother to research even the easiest thing and then comes on here trying to give us advice. It's a joke. Really pissed me off with that last post ... lazy keyboard warriors! I have no time for BS like that.

No! What is happening is you don't know how to research (or too lazy to do so), and are on here misinforming everyone because you are sooooooo confident you know everything. Stop misleading everyone with your misinformed crap. And don't come on here saying ohhh it's a not a provincial order, so it doesn't count ... I was clear, you HAVE to look at the municipal by-laws. PERIOD.

Great, thanks for the post. I stand corrected, where Oakville is concerned. There is still no such Orders made by the province.

Don't know about Oakville but Orangeville passed a bylaw with fines with respect to social distancing. Details here:

The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

There’s lots of confusion, primarily because things are changing daily. Municipalities can make their own Orders under the Act. So what is ok in one municipality, may not be in another. Making blanket statement of what is allowed and what is not, is obviously not correct...

And now we agree ... everyone must do their research and find out the applicable federal, provincial AND municipal laws.
