If I did I would be cited on here and yes there are several on here that have stated they want some guns banned because they don't think there is a need for them.

Also you have yourself in the past identified assault guns as guns that should be banned even thought we all know putting a military stock on a gun does not make it more dangerous.

Question. Show us posts where forum members on here said THEY WANT GUNS BANNED?
Show us posts on here where forum members have said if your put a military stock on a gun it becomes a powerful assault rifle?

Prime Minister Trudeau was asked questions by the Media about gun control in his daily briefing, he did not bring up the matter,we have a free press in this country who are allowed to ask questions. The fact that some of you guys posting right now are trying play politics with this tragedy is pretty low, as you put it.

I agree. However it has been reported that the 3 main anti gun lobbies sent a letter to Blair asking for swift action on gun control going so far as to suggest he put an immediate ban on the sale of "assault weapons". Unfortunately I can no longer find the link although I believe it was in the Sun. If this is true it is truly reprehensible but I agree we shouldn't be voicing our opposition right now either. TC

No mention of firearms used at all.

In fact our state sponsored broadcaster is solely focused on the human story, and the fraudulent police equipment used. This is rare.

Again. Looks like spin, and damage control because unlike other "mass shootings" there is some element to this one that doesn't quite fit the narrative.

Was reading on another post that there was an eye witness who saw this loser take the RCMP guns after dispatching the officer. You would have to assume he then used those stolen RCMP guns to go on his shooting rampage. If this is in fact the case, then you can see why the RCMP are pretty tight lipped about what gun was used.

    Update.

Canadian media is being mum on things, but US and foreign media is reporting the following.

After the initial 2 murders, the RCMP constable rammed the suspects vehicle with her own. The suspect dragged her from her cruiser and shot her in the chest. Then relieved her of her service weapon ( and presumably any others in the vehicle, patrol carbine ( C8)?, shotgun?).

The suspect had a criminal record, and likely was not able to obtain firearms legally.

So this definitely doesn't fit the narrative that they're going for. RCMP response times, and their reluctance to send out a provincewide warning are also likely going to be under the microscope on this one.

There has already been one victims husband who is threatening to sue based on RCMP lack of response / inadequate response.

We are on a hunting forum so I figured it would be kinda hard for you to produce evidence for what you alleged. LOL

I have never identified a gun as "assault gun" it must be a new category you made up.Have I indicated in the past I don't care about weekend warriors playing with their AR 15,s , yes guilty as charged. Have I indicated I have no interest in them as they have no place in hunting, yes.Do I
    care if they get banned,no.

None of these gun control groups should be making comment at this time, they are showing no empathy for the victim's of this tragedy.I think
everybody should take a deep breath until we get some FACTS.

That sheds a bit of light on things. Thanks for the info.

Tru-dough and his feeble minded followers once again prove they are grave dancers. Nothing like a tragedy to push an agenda eh? If the truth is this madman actually used firearms taken from the RCMP officer then that doesn’t really fit the gun grabbers narrative does it? In the end the Bloc will support anything the Libranos do to hang on to their jobs and pensions so prepare to lose many if not all of your firearms. Covid will consume everything for a year at least but don’t kid yourself, the libs want to disarm law abiding gun owners. I expect an Australia type law as soon as they can table it.
