Explain to me how you find it justifiable to add a statement as quoted by me that I did not post.

Please feel free to edit or re-post same.

If it turns out that her weapon, and the C8 were further employed in this incident, then the fallout may be undesirable on the part of the RCMP, and the feds.

Let's not forget, it was the inquiry from the 2014 Moncton shootings which put more firepower in the hands of single occupant RCMP cruisers in the first place.
    LOL

Are you suggesting that the Liberal Government is some how at fault for properly arming their officers in the event that a weekend warrior or a terrorist goes on a rampage.

    Not in the slightest.

What I am suggesting is that this unfortunate incident may have been exacerbated by their own equipment, and if that is the case, then using it as a platform for further gun control would be fruitless.

If the Liberals, and the RCMP attempt to use this as a platform with which to try and impose further gun control measures, they are going to have to definitively outline how said measures would have prevented this.
If we are into politics now it would be fair to say the Conservative party is both struggling to even get new talent to led the party.

The Liberals and RCMP need not do any of this as the Liberals with the assistance of the NDP were going to pass legislation in any event.

Gilroy ! I guess you don’t have me blocked after all.

All Mr SillySocks needed to say was that there will be a time for these discussions and at this point we are sorting through the aftermath and supporting the families. Enough said.

The Firearms Act does stipulate assault as an offence that could get you precluded, however this assault from your link indicates 2001 and the Firearms Act set's a five year period.

Yes, and it was apparently only a 9 month. Suspect / accused received a conditional discharge. So it couldn't have been used nor even required to be disclosed on future PAL application.

Proponents of gun control will never miss the opportunity to exploit a crisis. FFS,the bodies are still warm. There'll be plenty of time to discuss all the issues down the road, but,a little class, decorum and respect for the victims, survivors and families would be nice until the RCMP are finished with the investigation.
