It drives me crazy every time JT says "Canadians gave us a mandate" ....I hardly think 32% of the voters speak for the majority that didn't vote for him. Delusional comes to mind.

He was indeed given a mandate and if you do not like the voting system, first past the post, most seats count then change the system.
I believe previous Conservative Governments had these numbers but they did not say 'Wow we can't form a Government our overall numbers of seats are low".
The reality in Canada today is that the Liberals and NDP will have the votes to pass any legislation needed. The fact that its from two similar parties is irrelevant, they collectively represent numbers of seats and numbers of voters.

Let me refresh your memory. Yes you do think these semi auto's that look like military guns are more powerful even thought they are mostly 223 what many use for Yotes. Remember you can add a military stock to many many guns out there. I have a few friends that hunt with theirs for yotes, no more powerful than a Ruger ranch rifle, but I guess the big bad stock makes it super powerful .
"Your memory does NOT serve you well.I only have one semi auto rifle and one semi shotgun.I still do not believe semi,s autos will be banned of the type used for Hunting.
However only a fool would think in today,s climate that semi auto assault type rifles will fly under the radar especially if they can be converted. These guns to me are useless for hunting and seem to appeal to the weekend warriors out there. "

Reply. I can hardly be in favor of banning guns, when I own guns.
Do you still believe that guns that look like a military gun are super powerful?
Reply.Your usual and long known habit of trying to put word's into people's mouth's continues,I have never made any such statement.
Would it not be better to enforce laws we had? Why did this person have a real RCMP uniform, car and the Police even knew about the car.
Reply. The laws we have are enforced on a daily basis across Canada, check the daily arrest sheets published.
Reply. It is not difficult to obtain a full police uniform and the news reports stated that they have found RCMP insignia on line for sale.
Reply. It is not difficult to obtain a resale authentic police vehicle, they are auctioned off all the time.
It appears he did not have a PAL would knew laws have stopped him? Do criminals decide against getting a gun based on laws?
Reply. This is speculation on your behalf at this time nobody knows if he had a PAL, criminals do what criminals do.
I suspect you will find he may have had a Police issued firearm if so where did he get that?
Reply. Again speculation on your behalf, unless he disarmed the RCMP officer and shot her with her own guns,as was alluded to by a previous Moderator on the forum and reported on U.S. news.
You know yourself the Police have lost guns.
Reply. Yes Police officers have lost guns, military have lost guns, individual gun owners have lost gun's, what is you point?
Maybe a good start would be 25 years prison for any officer who looses their gun. I am 150% you would agree to a law like that.
Reply. If you feel that is a good idea but you must realize the law would be fair and apply to all losing their guns or it would not pass or if it did would be struck down by the Supreme Court. So in that case I could not agree with you as no such law would ever be passed by Parliament.
Please tell what laws of Trudeau's make sense.
Reply. Well as a learned scholar of the Canadian Parliamentary system you will be aware that Prime Minister Trudeau does not pass laws.Laws are passed by Parliament and the Senate and reflect the values of the Canadian Public who vote in the members of Parliament.
How about we make it illegal to own a firearm without a license LOL (Trudeau actually thought you could).
Reply. There are provisions in the law ie inheritance where one can temporarily own a firearm without a license.Police officers, customs officers, military none of them own a license, plenty of exemptions in the law.

Right. So when the question is about questionable government conduct, he defers to “now is not the time, we are here for the families” but when the issue suits his priority list, we hear “oh don’t worry we are ALL over this one, action is coming from your government!”

Just the facts lad,s, just the facts..............LOL
The Conservatives won 124 (or 40.3% of the total) seats in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2006 election while receiving 36.3% of the popular vote, and won 143 seats (or 46.4% of the total) in the 2008 election while receiving 37.7% of the popular vote.
So really not a great deal of difference in the popular vote.
[COLOR=#000000]Even though they won 36 fewer seats than the Liberals, the Conservative Party won the greatest share of ballots cast with 6,155,662 votes, or 34.4 per cent of the popular vote.
[COLOR=#000000]For their part, the Liberals secured 5,915,950 votes, or 33.1 per cent of the popular vote.

I think your selective memory is getting in the way of facts, again: ...Trudeau ran on a promise to abolish the 'first past the post' way to govern...in fact many people from Western Canada actually voted for him on that platform.
What happened..well he found out that the majority of Canadain's under equal representation would not give a mandate to the Liberals....so he reneged on the promise. Ergo not a single Liberal has a seat west of Kenora in the last election.
Same with Gun Control...he was afraid to introduce it under a minority Government because he would very well face a vote of non-confidence. That is why he 's despicably now going to use the deaths of the folks in NS to sway the NDP and Bloc to support the bill.
