I thought the laws were pretty clear already, it’s illegal to kill someone......don’t matter if you use a rock, baseball bat, vehicle, a fist, a butter knife.......

So what system would you guys like, should we have an American 2nd amendment one were everybody and their granny can possess an AR 15 with a 30 round clip. Handguns for all, why stop there maybe a Texas style town ordinance that orders every citizen to carry a handgun.
Now I am sure the NRA types out there are salivating as they read these suggestions, but we are in Canada its its probably not going to happen.
The gun control issue was not used as an immediate talking point by the Prime Minister or Minister Blair,it was brought up by the FREE press.
As in free to ask any question they like.
1. As crime stats point out, time and time again. Most violent crime in this country is not committed with guns.
2. Further delving into those stats reveal that of those that are, the majority ( more than 80%) are committed with guns that were not part of the legal supply chain, nor licensing.
3. Those stats also reveal that the majority of firearm deaths by legal firearms in this country are by suicide, not by violence.
It's getting quite old that the press, and the govt when there is an incident involving firearms default to calling for more gun control legislation. We as a country do not need more control measures put in place. The RPAL holder who has an AR15, or Beretta M9 pistol are not the problem, nor have they ever been. Yet that is what is pointed to each and every time.
No, we have an issue with our borders, and the proliferation of guns on the other side of them....but no one seems to want to tackle that one.
Oh, and the "free press"? You mean the ones who received $600 Million from the Federal Govt as "stimulus"? The one's who aren't reporting all the details that are coming out, yet international news sources are? You know how we can tell the gun control question was sourced, and approved prior to asking? Trudeau had a response that didn't begin with Umm, or Ahhh, as he formed it. It's becoming very apparent from a few years of watching him how to tell if a question was off script. ( As a former LEO, I'm pretty sure you knew this too).

But wait......that would mean that it's not a gun control issue, it's a border control issue.

You forgot to mention most of free press that received the money were known as very Liberal friendly.
Remember Liberals do not like stats unless it is something the Liberals make up themselves.

StatsCan doesn't lie. And even though they are a Federal Agency, they are autonomous in their collecting and collating data.

You don't think the "rampage" might have ended with far less casualties if everyone in Nova Scotia was carrying a gun? I think it would have, but I'm sure I'm about to be told otherwise.

He said legalizing weed would stop the black market but it didn't even dent it. I don't know a single person who goes to the legal stores. The legal stores are double the black market prices and not as good of quality.
