Agree with everything said here, some days they just don’t gobble.
However.......
If I hunt a place 2-3 time and don’t hear anything I’m done with it full stop. Might come back in a couple weeks if I still need a bird to see if anything’s changed but otherwise I’m moving on.
If birds are there you should be hearing them, except for the odd morning that they get tight lipped or roost somewhere else etc.
