It was a real thick one. I could see it bouncing of his chest as he was moving in. Only measured 8.5" though.

I had a quick hunt this morning. I have not been feeling good (stomach upset not covid) so I did not hunt yesterday and did not set alarm this morning. But I felt pretty good when I got up so had breakfast with my wife and walked the dogs and it was so beautiful I decided to go out for a few hours. I am lucky I can hunt out my back door on neighbours farms. Left house at 9:00 and walked to the end of my property (3-4 minutes). I always call before I step out from the woods into the field. A gobble answered west of me along the field. I sat right down with my back to my tree stand ladder and only waited 10 minutes before he came trotting along the edge of the field.
Sometimes it is dead easy, sometimes impossibly difficult. You just need to get out and be there the day Tom screws up.
