Minister Bill Blair breezily declared that the “banned” rifles are not used for hunting, shortly before Justice Minister David Lametti announced that there would be exemptions from the ban for some Indigenous communities, where the rifles are needed for … hunting.

YEAH.... but I am sure they will add it when they go after those sniper rifles and those fast shooting rifles the gunman used to attack Parliament. I would love to figure out an excuse to get an X95 though
A person not allowed to own firearms has firearms (hence CRIMINAL...) etc. .... and this is their actions.... more lies... I used a Mini-14 for fox hunting.... but truth and LIEbrals.... they just don't go together....

Some people like options. Everyone has different preferences just because you and gilroy choose not to have other firearms it doesn't mean responsible people should have them.
Maybe you like golf I do not maybe you like small compact cars, I like big v 8 gas guzzler cars lol.
Wait till the people who voted them in find out the guns they chose to ban had very little to do with the violence they wanted to end so bad. I already am hearing there is a gun expert coming on the radio at 745 I'll be listening in. This isn't quite what the people wanted or had in mind to spend hundreds of millions for something that actually caused little violence and deaths on our streets.

an you fella,s up the Lower Faraday not hit those running deer with a bolt action rifle or a lever action. LOL
My mentor impressed upon me for a few years. "I hunt to kill". He likes bows, but they are not the most efficient. If the law allows he will use the most effective gun, the law allows him to. Period...
I saw it practice one day bear hunting with him. A big sow came into the bait. First shot took out it's lungs, and blew a good sized hole on the other side. It dropped like a rock. Then started to rise. The second shot dropped it again, ended it there and then. The same week we tracked a bear someone had shot with a slug gun. Ton of blood at the site. After 40 yards the track was called off due to night conditions and value of human life. We tracked it for two miles the next day, through thick brush, all the while knowing we might trip over it, and it was POd at the world....
Ever since, I am always prepared to fire a follow up, if any animal so much as twitches. For starters it dies faster ( more humane), secondly the sooner it drops stone cold, the shorter the track/drag. I wasn't fast enough with my lever action when bear hunting another trip. I recovered that Bear, but still had to drag it an extra 60 yards........
Don't mock follow up shots Gilroy. Theres a huge upside.

Not mocking at all just playing around I know those guys hunt over a big area with hounds,so can fully appreciate they probably use mostly semi auto's but it would not be the end of the world if they did not have them. There are probably a few old timers that only have ever used a lever action and would never change because they can get the job done with one.But your right there is a huge upside.
