Looking for Small Game Hunting Mentor - Effort for Knowledge Quid Pro Quo
I am new to hunting and eager to learn. I'm interested in hunting most small game and especially coyotes. If there are any experienced hunters interested in passing along some knowledge, I'd love to learn from you. I'm willing to help hump your gear in and help hump your harvest out - and/or anything else for that matter. I'll follow instructions, not get in the way, and I'm willing to carry gambrel and game bags and paracord etc. rather than a rifle. I'm not interested in tagging along so I can take advantage of your skill in order to shoot something for me. I'm interested in tagging along in order to learn enough to begin my own journey toward becoming a successful hunter in my own right. I'm a responsible 57 year old who's just getting into the hobby. While I'm short on hunting experience, I'm long on life experience and I know how to follow instructions, and play well with others. I know the long hours in the bush that you've put into gaining your knowledge and skill and I would consider it a privilege to exchange such effort for such knowledge. Thanks for reading and considering.

keep an eye out towards the fall. A Forum member has a mentor camp he runs every year. Your close enough you could even slip out every weekend to it.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Line052 is a good person to hook up with and hunt with. Know him for a few years now.
Also several times a year a bunch of us meet for breakfast in Kemptville. Although with Social Distancing not sure when we will have the next one probably early Sept you will find some of us from the Ottawa area at the breakfast.

There is not a lot of people around anymore to pass down hunting information with in families and friend groups so what you are doing is great. I've had to learn on my own mostly and learn off friends I met that share the same passion, I am still learning every day and enjoy learning something new about hunting here on the forum or out in the field when something works, or doesn't work. Lol.
