great choice to pass on a bearded hen..theres been two occasions over the last few years that both times I had a bearded hen in the decoys (I would never shoot one personally) I was rewarded with a a big 1 inch spurred tom shortly after..good luck or karma I guess 
Id never tell anyone what they can/can't shoot when its legal but personally I see enough nests destroyed by coons and skunks I just couldn't shoot a bearded hen, I do enjoy seeing them tho!
