Monday morning Tom
Hello all, I finally made it out again after a few years off. It was very wet, cold and windy in Grand Valley but luckily I recently purchased a pop-up blind so I was comfortable.
After not hearing or seeing anything until 10am I finally heard a gobble. I did a little yelping and purring with my box call and soon enough a Tom came strutting across the field. I saw him after he broke through the edge of the woods and due to the angle I was sitting I did not see him again until he was right beside my decoys. He turned around long enough for me to line him up and as soon as he turned around and lifted his head I took the shot.
