last year about this time, I was going in to hunt turkey. I parked by the barn and walked about 20yds and I saw these green eyes shining at me. Thought it was a raccoon until I was about 10ft away. I took a bunch of pictures and then moved on for my hunt.

Is this early or right on track? If the rut is in mid-November, I would have expected most fawning to be about a week away.

There is usually two breeding seasons, early and late so depending on when the Doe is breed will obviously depend on the birth of the fawns thus the age deference

X2-mature does breed generally Nov,leftover older does and young does breed in Dec.
There is a 3 rd rut,in January too,but it is very subtle.
Eventually the fawns have only so much window to be born-either not to be to early,to avoid affected by late spring(cold ,rain, not enough nutrition)or to be too late -so they do not grow strong enough to survive the next winter.
