great story, and congrats.
i'm in the same boat. i've noticed the birds acting a little strange this year too in that they're not moving a step. uninterested in calls etc. gotta make it happen if they wont. good on ya for shooting wrong hand, i had to give up an opportunity at a early season Tom at 30 yds (came in silent) cause i haven't practiced with my left hand on the trigger. i know i will be this year!
