Whoops.
I agree that it would be a tough go, especially in the US. Don't really understand the need for lethal force by any means. Either way the lad shouldn't have been fighting it.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

This one is going to be a problem. Tasers are only good for one remote launch. When the subject turned to run,the threat was over removing the option of deadly force.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I think so too. While the guy pointed the taser at the officer, deadly force would be justified. Once it was discharged and it missed, not so much. Some states have fleeing felon laws, I don’t know if that is the case here....

I had an officer once tell me my friend was lucky that he didnt shoot him because he ran off . I just laughed at him lol.
Self defense he can say but it was only a taser that apparently missed the officer. Cops got if pretty hard these days, looks like the officer would have had no problem catching up if he didnt grab his weapon.

Ya, I guess the big question is .... Did he shoot him because he was black...
Protesters burned the fast food place to the ground

The question is....why did this guy feel the need to resist a lawful arrest, fight off two officers attempts to control him, disarm one of his CEW, discharge it at one officer and continue to escape lawful custody ????
I guess LEOs in the States particularly, should invoke the FIDO principle when dealing with criminals!!

The shooting officer has already been fired.
Wonder what burning the restaurant down solves? Crazy times for sure.
