If it was me,I'd be applying to all sorts of rural, mid west Sheriff's Offices were it's quiet and peaceful and let all the politically correct second guessing garbage pass me by. It sure worked for Mark Fuhrman. I should qualify that Fuhrman never again worked in law enforcement, but,he sure is doing well as a crime story author and Fox News commentator. There is life after Police service.

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I think you’d be surprised at how pervasive meth and opioids are in those sleepy Midwest towns

No doubt. The advantage of a small town is information is much easier to obtain and usually more accurate because in a small town, everyone knows everyone else and a lot of the bad a**es are well known. Out of town bad guys stick out like a sore thumb, too, making it much easier to interdict drugs coming into the town. There's a lot more advantages to small town policing than big cities.

The old tasers required a manual reload. The new ones don't and have two cartridges on board.

The family lawyer for Brooks
Is resting its case that he had a non lethal weapon when the police opened fire. The police always use the taser for non lethal use so why would the cop use lethal force when the suspect had a non lethal weapon.
The Officer fired 3 rounds into his back from close range. Ok I'm only speculating they were into his back to get a fast lethal wound.

A bad guy incapacitating a Leo, is a far cry different that Leo incapacitating a bad guy. I’m sure that will come out at trial....
