Moose burgers
I found a package of ground moose meat buried in the freezer over the weekend and decided to make some burgers last night. I didnt add any beef or fat to it all. They turned out fantastic, were juicy, and not dry int he slightest. I cooked them to 165 F.
-500g of ground moose
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-1 tablespoon minced garlic
-1 teaspoon chili powder
-1 egg
- some breadcrumbs for binding (maybe 1/3 cup)?
-various minced herbs from the garden
My main takeaway is that there was absolutely no need to add beef or fat to the moose meat. Wont ever do that again.

Moose burger is perfect on it's own, very mild.
I had a few bags but my kid gladly finished off the last of it.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Yes we ate lots of those when we were young.
Excellent on its own for sure.
I like frying ground Moose with little green onions and portobello mushrooms. Mmmmm
