Spray deflector/shield for Hummnbird transducers
I added a Humminbird Helix 8 SI DI etc etc G3 ?? to my new boat... When running at fast speeds I've got water spraying off the transducer all over the engine and then into the boat... I've been looking around on line for some sort of transducer cover to keep the spray down... there is a sharp looking one from Australia or New Zealand ( Tigintegrity ) but when I watch the video theirs doesn't look like it will fit my new transducer. I hate to order and pay for a product from so far away in case it won't work. Does anyone know of a local Ontario company that makes that product ?
Thank you .. Frenchie

Did you mount it against your transom? Do you have a jack plate you can mount it on?

Your transducer is too low. Also, there should be a rubber plug that goes between the ducer and the mount bracket to keep water from spraying up through there. The biggest reason is it’s too low....I recently mounted one, and had to raise it up a couple times...

I raised mine twice. It’s now at the right height. With the rubber insert, no issues at all.

I don't see a rubber insert or know where one would go on my transducer ... The dealer added all my electronics for me prior to me picking it up new ...I wonder if they forgot to add something ?? Is there any way you could take a picture of yours and post it so I can compare it to mine .... Thanks for the info..I do appreciate it...

The DI/SI transducer runs at low speed off plane, so it can be 5 or 6" above the bottom of the hull. My Helix 10 same otherwise has a small 2D transducer mounted below the hull plane to mark depth at speed. Much less rooster tail.

My transducer is a lot longer than yours Rick. I did raise it as much as I could without changing the position of the screws. (The guys that installed it didn't leave much room for adjustments) . It was better when I ran it yesterday at Erie. I think I am going to take the screws out and raise it slightly higher to get it perfect. Thanks for all the help guys. I appreciate the replys.
