If you are using treble hooks in your spoons, switch over to a good single hook. We had the same issue in Erie with bows. Once we changed to single hooks, we lose very few fish. But of course, sharpen them often....

Fishermans...... Did talk to someone when I came in.....They did even better than us...... landed something like 12 fish..... A couple of bigger ones too. (20lbs or so) in a little bit of deeper water than us...... They fished the same area, just west of Shell's Pier but between 120-150 fow... All their catches came between 30-50 ft down,...... Hoping to get out again Monday or Tuesday depending on wind conditions.... this weekend looks a little rough (too much wind/wave action) for me.... Did you get out?
