Mandatory Masks

Makes no sense comparing an epidemic which occurred over 100 years ago with the same thing today. It spread to all corners of the globe when the soldiers returned home from the front, all cooped up in ships for weeks at a time. Masks would never have worked in those circumstances even if everyone wore one. Of course there were not any where near the number of doctors we have today to expound on their virtues, thanks to the internet.

Viruses haven't changed in 100 years. If anything, they have an easier time getting around today due to our population density and convenient methods of travel. What we have now is an additional 5 billion virus incubators and a bit more information on how to combat this new virus from 100 years of research and the knowledge we've gained from previous successes and failures, one of those failures being masks.

What it all amounts to is trying to hold back natural selection at work, and the odds are never in our favour.

Just like bugs, viruses are getting smarter and more resistant to treatment. Seems no two are alike anymore. I won't claim to be an expert on masks but everything I read and hear from doctors is that they're all getting on board about wearing them as this thing progresses. I'm more inclined to believe what doctors are saying rather than any forum experts. Politicians fall into the same category as internet experts as well.

What about being trained to use a mask properly? Not using them properly is worse than using a mask. We as Canadians many don't know how to use them properly and will result in more people sick because of it.

Places that use masks all the time are properly trained to use them so it benefits them. Here I can see them becoming a problem and cause more infections.

The idea behind people wearing a Mask in stores etc is not about protecting yourself. It's about protecting others. Anyone and everyone when you cough or even speak you release germs. The mask will protect the person you are near from all of your germs hitting them.

Not sure why they don't believe DR's. But it's not a Left or right thing it's both sides.

However Trudeau and Tam did flip flop on most everything. I certainly will not try a Chinese vaccine that the Trudeau government approves. It is already showing up that the Chinese Vaccine doesn't work very well. I will wait until a Western Company finds one. I social distance when shopping (I don't like people I don't know breathing down my neck at the best of times). I have my few friends that I trust and know Social distance heck one lives as a hermit and has only gone to town 3 times since this began.

Actually this pandemic hasn't bother me much other then save me money. I find it great.

What will increase the infection risk to you, your family, friends or loved ones is goofs who don't maintain a 2 meter distance or come up with phony excuses not to wear a mask where they are mandatory. They don't care about your health and should be treated accordingly.

Yup, it's like ignorant children ... GUYS WHO GIVES A RATS @$$! You are griping about wearing a piece of cloth on your face like people are sending you to prison. GROW UP! Even if you don't believe it will work, WHO CARES!????? Just wear the damned thing! Humor us! Jeeeezee ... god forbid we ask you to wipe your arse with the skid of toilet paper you are saving in your garage!

It's SOOOOOOOOOOO Stupid ... people are on page 29 of comments about a 6 sq inch piece of cloth that you can put over your mouth ....

When you're child is dying of cancer, or you just lost a loved one due to an accident, or lost your job and can't make ends meet .... please, by all means, come here and find your support ... but a mask???

What a bloody bunch of cry babies ... just wear it. Put a skull pattern on it, or a salmon fish kissing you ... have a great time with it, but take your civil rights BS and save it for something important.
