Lake O Saturday
Didn't like the looks of the wave forcast for Saturday AM on Erie so we decided to give Lake O another go. Wanted an early start and being unsure of Fisherman's hours we launched at Bayfront Park in Hamilton at 4:30 and ran the length of the harbour and straight out from the lift bridge until we hit 100'. Dropped the cannonballs to 50' and we working on setting up the dypsies when my son says ouch. He was thumbing the spool on the reel to let the dypsy out under tension when he got a strike and wound up with his thumb wedged under the reel frame. Thankfully not a huge fish so no damage to his thumb. Next was Dan again with a 34 incher at 18lb 8oz. Dad took the next rod that fired and while bringing in lines I found a little guy on the other rigger that hadn't tripped. We all had stuff to do so at 5 fish by 7 am we pulled lines and headed in.
