Oh,yeah, more than you'd think. I've run into many hunters who,for one reason or another, are philosophically averse to taking Does or yearling fawns. Each to their own.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

If you're in a Hunt Camp it's usually required. You may not shoot a Doe, but, with party rules, your tag can be used by someone who does.
Like a lot of Hunters we all head out early in the season hoping to see a Big Buck...then as the season winds down it switches to 'it's brown it down'. Nice to be prepared with a Doe tag if needs be.

I know a few in my group that didn't this year. 1 guy that never does as he comes in with a 200lb buck every year. The other 2 eggheads said it was my fault for not reminding them. I guess 4 months isn't enough time to call in for the draw. Ironically it was one of these guys that incorporated the rule a couple years ago that if you forget to apply for the doe tag then come deer season you can't shoot at anything but a buck. We'll see how that goes

The reason I forgot last year was I thought I had, I even called the MNR and asked. They said they had no record and I couldn't find one either. I really was sure, I even went through all my credit card receipts. So it can happen. I will be willing to bet that the guy in your group who is now only supposed to shot bucks will be the first to shoot a Doe.

Skunked in 64 ... again. I never see bucks during the day, so it's going to be another cold long sit.

I dont forget, I deer hunt for Mr. Dark face with the big white ring around his nose and the hair on top of his head starting to curl showing himself dominant in defense of his turf.
