I need some input about the actual figures, but would a big rig driver not make around 100 thousand a year? Same as cops who work in that area every day or twice what a ' garbage man' makes for working in the same area . Please justify why truckers should get more for going into an area that others work in every day, with no danger pay.

Well for one thing no one is going to hi-jack a garage truck for its contents but someone may be a hell of a lot more interested it a truck for of electronics or groceries.

Yes you need to a little input. There are not many cops or Drivers that are going to make the sunshine list.
When cops have a problem they can call for backup and shoot back..
When Drivers have a problem they can call the cops........if there are any around.

It is not the chance of being robbed that is the real problem. Protesters have started swarming highways and Interstates, so it is not just in downtown areas anymore. Imagine driving thru Toronto on the 401 and from behind an overpass 80 to 200 people all run out and stand there. Your car may stop in time, but the trucks in the other lanes and behind you may not..
You ever hit a person and kill them?
Maybe a deer? Just think about every deer you have ever hit or seen dead on the road all in one place. Now imagine them as people..
Now just about ever person in that group that you did not just KILL is attacking you..

Well in Ontario a few years back I haven't checked recently but a opp constable fresh out of police college started at 93,000 before any overtime. 100,000 doesn't go as far as it did when they started the sunshine list.

Anyone stupid enough to run out into the freeway with transports and speeding cars gets what they deserve in my opinion you can't fix stupid and the ones that managed to avoid being hit should be arrested on the spot!!!

I guess you need to read the sunshine list. Most police officers are on the list. So are a lot of bus drivers, I guess they should get danger pay for driving in the city.
