Can’t see them opening it up without at least the 14 day sit and do nothing in the next 2 weeks. This will bump hunts for the next few years.
I feel for the guys that have had hunts booked for a few years and may not get a deposit back and have to deal with all the rebooking of stuff. I’d heard some outfitters were even taking deposits from guys from the states into June.
I guess on the upside if the hunt doesn’t happen then more for a trip out west to chase elk if that every happens. Is it crazy that we can’t go to NL right now but we can go hunt elk in Montana.....

It is crazy to think we can hunt in Montana but not on NL but that is the reason the USA is covered with Covid-19. I truly feel for all that have been affected by this, outfitters included. I am not sure what the answer is or the outcome but sure hope we can all survive financially, emotionally and most of all healthy.

I see now that you had already booked this trip and put down a deposit last year before that post. Good luck with them.

We have a differant deal going. We booked late with no deposit because the outfitter knew usa hunters would not get in so they trying to fill spots from canada. Great for us but now looks pretty slim. Still hoping though. We didnt even try to submit the paperwork.who s gonna take 3 weeks off for a moose hunt ...time you isolate for 14 days. Also we had elk mulie hunt planned with friends in colorado but we cant get in there. But with the covid running rampid dont want to go there this year. Cant get a tag at camp...cant go to newfie.....brutal year. Buddy says come hunt alberta but long way to go for 1 deer......

Ya we had booked before that thread. The OP on that thread didn't really concern me as some of his complaints could have been dealt with immediately. It seemed odd. Guess time will tell, i will be sure to post an update regardless if/when this ever happens lol.

My buddy had a hunt booked with Deep Valley Outfitters, called him this morning it's officially cancelled for this year for non residents. Hopefully they can book enough locals to cover the costs.

Everything looks like it'll be a wash-out for this year as far as outfitted hunts and most private camps go. Day hunts or even a single over-nighter in the bush might be the only way to go. It would be a damn sight safer, health wise.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
