LOL...I figured I would be up to my eyes in coyote sightings, night howlings or least be able to hear them...Been in the house for a week and not a peep heard or seen. Tons of deer and Turkeys though :-/.

I seen and heard more coyotes in Barrhaven everyday.. Things are strange.

Ha ha ha, you should have been at my place last night. 2:15am they started up like crazy, we had the windows open. I grabbed the huge Mag light and lit up the back of the property, 1 coyote was on the hill about 125 yards from the house and 40 yards from the lamb shelter, his eyes were glowing with the light and he would not leave. I could not get the screen out of my window or I would have taken a crack at him from my bedroom. Yes, I know you cannot hunt in the dark, but you can sure as heck protect your property after dark.

The lack of yotes is the reason you have good counts of deer and turkey

Trust me, there is no lack of coyotes, they have just not been vocal when he has been outside, lots of coyotes around, the turkeys will not even make any noise in the spring.

Lots of yotes around...have no fear, they'll eventually get you up at 2:00 am

Once you have livestock...shooting them after dark is not 'hunting' ...

I see more coyotes from my front porch in the city than I do outside of town.

Their usually quiet summer time wait till winter. Let out 100 pound dog at 10:00 o’clock pm to do his thing and watch him beg to get back in the house. He knows he’s out numbered. And is willing to hold it till morning.
