Default My new (to me) boat

Thanks for the help with posting pics........much appreciated!

Well after 6 years of serving me well my 2006 Sylvan Explorer 1600 SC with 40HP Merc EFI was just not making the cut with a growing family. When my kids were younger and smaller this boat did everything I needed but as they get older and bigger the 40Hp was just not cutting it anymore.

I looked at a new motor but I could not justify putting $12k for a new 75Hp Etec on a 14yr old boat. So I searched and found what I was looking for and picked up a beautiful new to me 2017 Starcraft Renegade 168 with a 90Hp Etec.

The only issue I had was that I sold my old boat so fast (and for amazing $$) it went with everything on it. I am having problems outfitting the new boat as stock is pretty slim everywhere. SAIL/BPS/Cabelas are completely useless right about now if you want anything. Hell I could not find a 15lb anchor anywhere so on my first fishing trip I was using a 4" cinder block with a chain& rope for an anchor! I could not even find a standard Scotty rod holders in stock anywhere.

Amazon has been great! I ordered EVERYTHING for the new boat off Amazon - electronics, anchor, ropes, bumpers, seats, casting post and seat, safety kit, cover, and rod holders. The longest I had to wait for delivery was 5 days and most items were at my door the next day.

Congrats on a nice rig you got there. I would stay away from Bass/Cabelas for anything to do with boats because not only are they expensive they don't even have stock right now. If I ever need anything I just go to a local marina/boat dealer and order through them. Cheaper and if they don't have it they usually can get it in a couple of days.
