We must be early birds, i misses one on my brothers land that was 16" across, its now gone bad.

A guy I work with had 2 on his lawn about 10" each.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I've had 2 feeds so far this fall. I like to cut mine about a half inch and run them through an egg wash. Fry up tow or three slices of bacon and fry them in the bacon grease. A bit of maple syrup over them and it's as close as you'll come to French toast...

Found some old giant ones. If I spread the spores at home any chance I’ll get some next year?

I've bought a few blocks of the mushrooms to grow indoors (Lion'smane, Oyster) but puffballs I haven't seen anything on the pages that sell spoors, blocks etc.

You can get Morel spoors or make a slurry and grow them at home.

There is a few links on it but it looks like the odds are very low, if they are old ones may as well try though..
