I thought my spot was a bit too visible at first but I've been able to fire and reload my crossbow without deer on the other side of the river bank paying any attention. The opposite river bank is approx 70 yards.
Here's the front, this is their feeding area (opposite side of river). Seen the most deer on this area, mostly does but I've taken only bucks from this side

Here is the rear, the main trail on this side is 40 yards behind that large forked tree. The shooting lane is to the left of that tree. It's a bit to the rear but it gives me enough clearance from the tree and It's off my left so it's still comfortable to shoot. I've taken three deer off that trail.

I use a self climber for this spot, and I've taken most of my deer last season off this spot. I took a couple in the early season on another spot behind that tree to the rear, the photo below is that spot. The forked tree is off frame to the right of this photo.

Will definitely plan on hunting this spot this season, there are a couple other bushes showing as much promise but this will be my primary spot considering all goes well. I've been seeing deer around this bush all year so far so my hopes are up haha.

Nice! That's an awesome bush. Looks very open lots of shooting lanes.

We have spend many hours in there late summer maintaining stands, clearing shooting lanes, cutting trees, and clearing paths with the bush hog. Mineral deposits have been down since mid June and we are getting carrots this week to top things up.

Going this afternoon to put up our cameras and will start building our tree stands on Saturday and I will take some pictures.

I dont hunt this spot much as its my dads "honey hole". Hes shot many big bucks from this stand. Its the outskirts of a huge swamp and its deer haven.
I just love the look of it and seeing a big rack strolling through the willows is just icing on the cake.

I got excited looking at the picture before even reading your description. Screams swamp edge and pinch point. Enough cover to make them feel comfortable and open enough for lots of shooting lanes. Yes sir! Looks beauty with the snow on the ground too

The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

Jeze Louise how high is that stand? You can probably see my house on a clear day. Seriously that is a beautiful view. Nothing makes a sit better than a nice view!
