grouse hunt wmu47?
How’s the grouse hunting in wmu47 these days? I saw a few on the back roads around Lake Restoule in the summer. All in all just curious how the whole wmu is holding up for grouse?

I was just 20 min south of there, seemed ok but need to hunt a full day to get a better idea of how the numbers are doing. At the end of the day it will never be what it was 10 years ago where I used to limit our in 3 hours every time.

Has too much time on their hands
Was there this past weekend working in the the bush and riding the trails. I only saw one grouse and he provided the appetizer before dinner. I thought the numbers would have been higher this year

Been seeing grouse pretty often at WMU 42 near Alban.

Cant speak to 47, but 49 (just below 47) is having a great year in my experience.

Have not been out specifically for grouse yet but our driveway is 2 km long and late afternoon if we travel the length of it we will see 2 to 4 grouse every time. Hares as well.

I’m a bit north of you and while I’m seeing a few can’t say it’s as good as the past couple years
