My brother was up on the Moon River for a week in August and said the disrespect by the wake boats was unbelievable. Yup some people figure they own the world.

Used to get that same problem many years ago on Lake Erie with jet skiers bombing by close to us as we were fishing. A very large spoon cast right in front of them once was usually enough to convince them to go elsewhere in a hurry!

Thanks T for that update. The only penalty that really hits home for these guys is to lose their boat for the duration of the summer months. Little late for that now though.

I hope they take his boat. I had someone almost swamp me and my two kid's many years ago in the Rideau river. There was a no wake zone and I saw this person coming full speed on a seadoo. Luckily I was able to make it to a dock by the shore. I got the kids out and the wave actually popped my boat right out of the water. The Kid is lucky I couldn't find him afterwards as it would not have been good for him or his machine.

I don't know whether or not he's charged under The Criminal Code or The Canada Shipping Act small vessel regs. Criminal Code can send him to jail. Small vessel regs gets him a BIG ticket.
