There is nothing really wrong with the system, but just like must "Consumer" grade stuff the designers and manufacturers never put in those extra minutes of thought. Or maybe it's the accountants that screw it up, crying over a couple extra dollars cost per unit.

My experience has been the same as Bushmoose’s post. Flex in the tires loosened the straps in no time. I solved the problem by going to the axles, not the tires. The straps still loosen a bit on long hauls.

i heard its not good to tie down from axles for long hauls. i usually tie down from behind the shocks on the frame. also put a chain across the back

Yes the low pressure in ATV tires allow more flex then a car tire, which is why I suggest using the proper straps.
That said, that tie down system is good but a few pieces of gear really needed to be better.

Are you aware that unit will ship out of the US because Home Depot in Canada doesn't stock them? Duty and exchange will be a killer and they may not be legal for use here. It would be wise to investigate further. They aren't listed with Princess Auto,either.

Most times i used my trailer. But when I load it in back of pick up box I put blocks of wood in front of tires. Tie winch to front tie down and pass a 3” ratchet strap around hitch / ball receiver to tie down at rear. Nothing moves.

There is, or at least was, a similar product called the Louisiana Guard Dog, that I used as a template to build my own version. It worked well, and I used it quite a bit until I bought a 16' atv trailer. It was fairly secure from theft, as I was able to put locks on the coupler at the atv end, and also locks on the pins that attached it to my truck receiver.
