Preach it,brother! Damn,this thread needs a "like" button. The old "make the rich pay" mantra has socialism/marxism written all over it. It was unmitigated bullshyte then and it still is. People have worked hard all their lives and made themselves very successful. There's no reason they should be required to "share" that wealth,but,ironically,they all do to some extent in one form or another. That's not good enough,though,for the socialist set who try to convince the great unwashed that there's something inherently wrong with that,proposing taxation systems that "redistribute" that wealth. There's only one word for that......T-H-E-F-T.....pure and simple.

Many of the rich plow their money back into new Business Ventures which in turn creates new jobs. Those on the Left either forget this or plain and simple do not want new jobs created. They just want the money taken from the rich and given to them as they truly believe they should not have to work at all.
Then there are also many on the Left who think that even some middle income people have to much. I have had the odd person call me wealthy because of all the crap I have around here. What they fail to understand or grasp is that I worked even harder to collect all this crap.
In my early days' I moved to Ottawa with a back pack, typewriter and a beer making kit, that was back in 1993. I had no financial help from my parents for School or moving. I arrived here with 1000 bucks which was my income tax return and a few dollars I had saved. I worked for a lawn care company as a Tree specialist (I studied as a Forester at SSFC in Lindsay).
I still remember seeing people on welfare leaving the beer store with cases of beer and yet I had a job and had to save for a week to afford a six pack. I was married in 1996 and my wife and I were technically right around the poverty line yet we managed to scrimp and save and buy our first home a fixer upper.
I would work back then from 6 in the morning until 9 at night my regular job and jobs on the side landscaping. In 1999 I went back to school to study programming as I was tired of going on EI each fall. I graduated in Summer of 2000. During the first years of my Marriage I knew little of how to do my own stuff. I had to learn how to do construction so I could do my own renovations, I had to learn to fix my own cars as we had caught mechanics several times ripping us off.
My first few years camping back then was with a car and my brother Inlaw had an old boat and I had a canoe from when I was a kid. Over the years I did as much as I could on my own to either save money or by use equipment and repair it. I did inherit a small 12 ft tin with a 7,5 Ted Williams motor. Two years ago we bought a 1976 7.5 Merc bad deal we had to do a lot of repairs on the motor. My cars most are used I have bought 1 new. Currently I own 3 car's (one is off the road until we need it) I+ my truck. I did the roof on my barn and house my self and will do the garage next year. I also installed my patio door. These days I have more money and I am tired so I have hired someone to install windows and a new Heat Pump.
What I hear most about today's kid's and some older is they do not believe they should have to work their way up, they want it now and every Liberal supporter believes the same thing. I worked very very hard to get where I am and numerous times I was kicked back down but I move forward. Today I am working a contract making more then 120K a year , by December I might have to go cut firewood to make money and that will pay me 16 bucks an hour. I work hard for my money and no Lefty should be asking me to pay more, if anything we should be asking where can we cut.
When people to day are asking for free childcare what they really want is you to subsidize their trip down south. More young people have traveled then the older generation. I paid for all my childcare no government help. No help when I fought custody for my daughter. People need to learn to stand up and work instead of relying on others. The Left promotes this and even the Lefties on here promote it. They should be ashamed. The average person can no longer even figure out how to go to the bathroom without someone telling them how to.
The Left is a gimmee gimmee gimmee group.
Welfare was suppose to be a helping hand for those who fell through the cracks yet now we have generational welfare families. This is what the left wants.
I t really is time to put people back to work and begin killing off these stupid little handouts, that make people rely on the government.

Yeh your right, the super rich should not have to pay taxes, they should be allowed to hide their money in off shore tax havens. People like THE DONALD its right he should only pay $750.00 in taxes.

The wage for women also ignores one important aspect and that is unpaid time off. There are stats that women take more time off without pay. So If a woman and I both are paid the same per hour and I work more overtime and she takes time off without pay should her yealy income still be the same as mine?

Most welfare freeloaders graduate to disability as it pays much better. Then you go to certain doctors that send you only to certain pharmacies where you can get all the "good drugs" you want on the government dime. Then you sell your perks every month and head to the beer store, head back to your fixed income housing and get drunk everyday.
Thats why you have to save for six-pack and the freeloading liberal supporters are walking out with a full case in front of you?..lol
