Not rocket science. That demographic has a significantly higher rate of ownership. Additionally unlike say most teenagers, men at that stage actually mean to do the deed. Ergo grab the gun and get it done right no half measures.

The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

So the mechanism of injury by firearm is an irrelevant statistic ...so it's a red herring.

Like I mentioned before unless you are terminally ill and with no quality of life or when medication no longer keeps one comfortable then and only then should one consider suicide with the help of a physician. All other reasons I view as a cowards way out and so be it in my book. Cheers.

The approval process for the MAID (medically Assistance in Dying) is far more stringent than your requirements....and a reason why a lot of people do it themselves and not giving a rats behind what you think HaHa...

I guess to each their own it's their life. I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

I have lost two friends to suicide. They fit the profile. Rural men, gun owners and on the outside they looked and acted fine. They weren't cowards but people with serious mental health issues for which they couldn't or wouldn't get treatment.

There are too many jackoffs in this world who regard it as a sign of weakness to seek help for mental health challenges or declare it's cowardly to commit suicide.

I would think the risk of losing your ability to own and use firearms after seeking help and being diagnosed or prescribed medications would certainly deter a lot of people. Especially if they have hunted their entire life or own heirloom guns.

If owning guns is the most important thing in your life, even more than your health or the health and safety of those around you ......you need reevaluate your choices.
