Could be real kinda looks like my arm when I sliced it open lol. On my arm was a clean cut but the skin seperated I thought my whole forearm was gone. It was opened the size of a pop can you could see the mussels vains fat and all. When I went to the emergency I told the lady I couldn't find the rest but it was just pulled apart .

Was kind of cool to see . It bled bad for about 10 seconds then both nothing I was showing people it around the emergency room [emoji1787]. It was open for 4 hrs at the hospital didn't even bleed and left it open like that.

It's totally possible that the same happened here being high on its back it would separate and pull down just like that.

Wish I had pics of my arm. 50 stitches in a 3 and a half inch cut . It was deep .

I don’t think combine would do that even corn head snouts. But possible self propelled forage harvester working corn silage maybe.

Unless corn head has row stalk chopper don’t know

i agree, already looks like infection is starting to set in, the back of the wound is black and you can see the spine turning a greenish colour as well, might just be the camera or the light but thats what it looks like to me

I don’t see how it can even walk spinal damage

Of course it is real! It is definitely a real fake. Invasion of bacteria into a wound that size alone would be astronomical and enough to kill an elephant, that is not to mention the nerves damage, many major nerves that support bodily functions would be severed from the spinal cord. With the nerve damage that far back, paralysis of the hind quarter would definitely be another factor. It is certainly an imaginative artistic display. I have to wonder what was in mind of the artist, who created it. I’m surprise it didn’t come with a caption “Look What A Hunter’s Bullet Has Done.” After all the gun season for deer is just around the corner. .

Article from the meateater guys. Not that it makes it anymore more real or not. We will probably never know. Well other than those of you who "think" you know.

Chris Evans, a whitetail hunter from Illinois, could hardly believe what his trail cameras captured last weekend. In an October 17th photo and October 18th video, a zombie-like deer with an enormous wound passes through his property.
The buck first appeared on camera in September and was perfectly healthy then. Evans isn’t sure what caused the injury, but has been reaching out to neighboring landowners to see if they know.
“Pretty wild thing to see a deer still walking after something like this,” Evans said. “We are trying to see if we can find and kill him if he is still alive.”
whitetail buck with giant injuryThere’s no obvious explanation for the buck’s wound. Evans has heard theories ranging from broadheads and bullets to barbed wire fences and flesh-eating bacteria. His best guess is that it’s from a combine, though.

Kip Adams, the Quality Deer Management Association’s director of conservation, believes the injury is mortal. If coyotes don’t kill the whitetail, winter will.

“I can’t imagine the infection won’t get him,” Adams said. “Very sad.”

No doubt it’s real. The combine scenario sounds plausible. I know a farmer that got a big bucks antler caught in his combine. He got stopped in time, but the buck lost one side. It was sleeping in the corn row....
