Is there anyone in KW who is good at training dogs for obiedence

Question for you guys. I am not looking for a hunting trainer. I am looking more for someone who can help with obedience (come, heel etc...). I would like someone who is pro e-collar training. Does anyone know someone like that in the KW region that could help me out. I have a Brittany that its good but not great in the field but really is having major issues with come in the thick cover. He is ranging so far and not always listening to the come command.

How well does the pup respond to the comeback? He's young so you got to factor in the puppy factor. Long lead him out in a large soccer field or such let him range out or better yet have his attention peeked and give him the command if he doesn't respond correct with the lead. Now if he response every time on the lead but not while off then an e collar may be needed. Best get training on the use yourself as its has its advantages even after the training is done ( but really is training ever done?)

Thanks for the response Finsfurfeathers. I am going to send him to a trainer in Collingwood for the next two weeks just to give me a bit of a break. I notice I am getting frustrated super easily when he does not do what I want.

Hope you can watch/sit in on some of the training sessions. When you get him home consistency is important. If you get frustrated its good to take a break as dog work is a work in progresses, immediate gratification rarely occurs. I work on the premise training is never finished and improvement takes time and effort.
Dogs are a marathon not a sprint in ones life.

Yes I am learning that quickly. The trainer said he would give me a list of instructions at the end for me to practice them when I get home. They are going to work on heel and come mostly.
