    Well the Green party is screaming.... seems they are having a petition to fight this.... I got blocked by another FBer for pointing out the Greens were nothing but Socialist wanna bes and ranked ballots a way to give 3rd rate polticians a voice, a seat and funding.... but glad that it is being scrapped!

    There was never a vote on using Ranked Ballots. Ontario as a province had a vote back years ago and it was widely defeated.
    No city should be allowed to implement this without a referendum.

    I thought some of you guys wanted ranked ballots federally, and complained when the present government did not implement it. Oh I see you don't want it provincially but federally you are okay with that.

    Aren't you confusing "ranked ballot" with "first-past-the-post"? The Liberals toyed with the idea of a "rep-by-pop" electoral college system (like the US),but,waffled on it when they discovered they would likely lose every future election if properly implemented.
